Valiant Hearts is an puzzle-aventure video game that takes place during the Great War. The game is inspired by letters written during World War I and has four characters on the battlefield who help a young German soldier find his love in this story about survival, sacrifice and friendship.

My work

  • Design owner of the first half of the game (2 chapters, 14 levels).
  • Also design owner of several pivotal levels throughout the all game: Anna in Ypres, The Zeppelin's crash, Karl's escape at midnight, Freddie helping Canadian troops, ...
  • During preproduction I've designed several benchmark gameplay sequences, helped improving the 3C by giving constant feedback to the gameplay programmers, and designed tools to build puzzles in UAF, the engine initialy build to make platform games (Rayman Origins and Legends).
